Can You Treat Cellulite?

Know How You Can Treat Cellulite

There are two questions people (usually women) ask about cellulite – can you prevent it and can you treat it? The real key to cellulite is to prevent it from every forming. There are a few ways you can do that, but Mother Nature is really in charge here. No matter how much you jog or stay in shape, and no matter how thin you are, there is a high likelihood that you will get cellulite if you are a woman. But, if you want to treat cellulite, there are several paths you can go down.

Cellulite is recognized by all women as that unsightly, lumpy, fatty substance that usually deposits itself on your abdomen, butt, or your thighs. Usually you don’t even know you have it until one summer you put on a pair of shorts and take a good look at yourself in the mirror – and there it is. Seemingly out of nowhere it pops up and you are stuck with it for the rest of your life.

If you want to treat cellulite, you may want to first go on a diet and lose some of that extra weight. After all, it is only fat, and the more fat you lose, the more cellulite you will lose as well. But, losing weight alone will not do the trick. Cellulite cells are stubborn and once they are in place, they don’t usually want to leave.

There are many lotions and creams that actually do work to treat cellulite. You may think that it is a scam that a cream could work to remove something that is underneath the skin, but it isn’t. The simple act of massaging the area that has cellulite can help to dislodge some of the cells and hide the lumpy look of the cellulose in just a few weeks.

Cellulite Control Without Surgery

Get in Control of your Cellulite Without Surgery

It is a frightening sight when you first see cellulite on the back of your thighs for the first time. Sometimes it happens in your 40s or 30s, but lately, more and more women are seeing it earlier – quite simply, because we are all a lot heavier than we used to be. Because of this, it is not unusual for women to search out some means of cellulite control before their bodies get completely revolting.

Cellulite is one of those things that just happens to women. We have a lot of other burdens to carry and this is just another one that men don’t have to deal with. Cellulite is just an accumulation of fat that clumps together, much like dimples – but not as cute. Cellulite control is imperative when you are younger so that it doesn’t take over your legs, thighs, butt, and abdomen later in life.

So, can you really control cellulite? Yes – if you take care of it as soon as you start to see it happening. Once cellulite begins to grow, usually first on the backs of your thighs, it is time to take notice and start getting to work. First of all, you need to get back into shape and lose as much fat as you can. Excess fat throughout your body only contributes to cellulite. Another way to approach cellulite control is through massage. Studies show that by using oils or lotions that contain certain products, that you can eliminate fat deposits in selected areas. Of course, this kind of treatment doesn’t happen overnight, but it is effective.

No one wants to live with visible cellulite on their body. It changes the way you dress, the way you feel about yourself, and the way you live. Take the time and make the effort to get it under control early before it gets too bad.

When Is It Time to Begin Fighting Cellulite?

Fighting cellulite begins when we are young and vibrant!

When we are young, we just assume that our bodies will always look that way. We have fresh, youthful skin that is free of anything but the occasional blemish and we have no fear of wrinkles. Our bodies are toned and slim, with no fears of getting fat. But, as the years go by and we put on a pound or two every year, those pounds eventually add up to 10 or 20 pounds or more. And, if you are a woman, that fat often turns into cellulite. So, when is it time to begin fighting cellulite?

You don’t really want to worry about this when you are young, but you should. It is a good idea to begin fighting cellulite as soon as you are out of your teen years. By then, your body has stopped growing, and is actually beginning to deteriorate – as sad as that may seem! Then, when you add pregnancy into the equation, the toll on your body is enormous. During pregnancy, your body tries to hold on to fat and because of that, cellulite is created. These are simply fat storage cells that have grown a little out of control and start to look lumpy under your skin.

Fighting cellulite before you get pregnant, and certainly after, is important if you are to grow into middle age without lumpy legs or dimply buttocks. The best way to do it is to moisturize your skin and massage it vigorously as much as possible, especially during times of quick growth. If you are gaining weight at a great pace (like during pregnancy), or even if you are putting on a lot of muscle quickly, you will want to moisturize as much as possible to diminish the likelihood of fat deposits from settling into those pesky areas.
